Welcome to a VERY special edition of The Happy Workaholic Podcast. Today is my 3-year anniversary of the show. It is also my birthday today! The BIG 42! I cannot believe it! What a year it has been. Holy sh*t!

When this pandemic began, I am not going to lie, I honestly thought that if I walked outside, I would get the virus and die. Hello PTSD. I am happy to say that only lasted about a month or so. My insomnia however was here for a few and has now left! Thank god for my new sleep elixir I mention in the show.

I realize how lucky I am to be alive and I cannot stand looking back and having regrets, so I looked at this pandemic the same. I worked so hard you guys. I paid off almost all my bills, got a number of new clients, folded plastic bags to calm my nerves, did all the self-care, hired a group of super talented individuals to help me with things I hate doing and they are so good at.

I also caught up with friends I haven’t spoken to in over a decade, outsourced all the things, took this show and brand to a whole new level, decided to learn more on sound baths and now I am obsessed and so much more. I listened to my first Audible book, did a colon cleanse, finished six medical malpractice legal cases and of course tried my best to learn all the DC on TikTok.

There is a very special treat in this episode for you and I would love to type longer notes for you here to explain why this could honestly be my best episode yet but I would rather you hear it for yourself.

PS Please do not listen to this one around the kiddos because I am droppin’ some F bombs quite a lot. Just keeping it super passionate about life over here.

In this episode I am talking about the many times that I was told I could not do something. I am also going to tell you how I accomplished each one of them and how.

From a toddler with bell’s palsy to graduating high school early, traveling the world, and representing myself in six medical malpractice legal cases and finishing them all in under one year.

I’ve always created opportunities for my myself. I’ve worked my *ss off to get me to where I wanted and needed to be. When I came across obstacles I would strategize, pivot, and find the best solutions.

There is no way I would be where I am today if I were not resilient and chose to not ever give up. If I was not persistent or on a mission to create a life that I truly deserved.

A life that I thought was only possible in my dreams. I get a little emotional at the end of this raw and unfiltered episode because when I say certain things out loud and hear them, I cannot believe they are true. They are statements and achievements about my actual life!

Claude Baruk is a French-born internationally renowned hairstylist and colourist. Designated an ID Artist for L’Oreal Professional France, he is distinguished as an international trendsetter and influential member of the styling and fashion industry.

He spent several years freelancing in major international destinations such as Courchevel, London, St. Tropez, New York and Paris. During this time, Baruk styled for celebrities including Naomi Campbell, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Karl Lagerfeld, Paris Hilton, Jean Roch, Ophelie Winter and Ivana Trump.

In the 1990s, Baruk quickly established himself as a key member in the French salon industry and earned several national awards for women’s hair styling.

Representing yourself in multiple legal cases involves a lot of research, dedication, organization and strategy and so does running a business and household!

Today I am sharing what it is genuinely like to represent yourself in multiple legal cases. The amount of steps you must take and how. The amount of time you are going to have to give up doing something (you love) and then invest in this process. The contacts you will need and how long it is going to take to find them and get them to answer an email or pick up a phone call. The length of research you will have to do and then what to do when it all falls apart. The legal business is full of twists and turns and a lot of work so being prepared for anything (as in life) will have to be your new mindset and approach, so you don’t lose it! And that is not a joke, because I have been on that fine line many many times…

A lot of you ask me every week how my cases are going so today I am giving you an update as well as a lot of advice to take home…

I haven’t discussed this topic on the show in a while because it makes me angry and nobody wants to hear me scream at them! I mean let’s be honest. I can give you the best advice but when it is coming from a not so calming and soothing voice you would not want to listen.

So here we are today. I am sharing what I can “legally” of what has been going on. But I am putting a spin on it. As many of you who listen to the show run a business or maybe want a business or have decided to uplevel their personal life, these tips and strategies I’ve implemented into my legal cases will also help you in your life!

I am not in the business of giving free advice. And neither should you! Today I am sharing five very important questions you need to be asking yourself if you are a business owner, plan to be a business owner, looking to pivot or overall wanting more out of your brand…

I am also sharing why free consultations should be a thing in the past. 15 minutes OK, but 30-60? OMG! You are valuable and so is your time. Nobody will have a problem paying for it if what you have to offer is truly for them.

Research is key in any industry and I have said this a million times and explain this more in depth on today’s show. All parties need to be doing their research! Their goal is to disrupt the status quo and innovate the coconut hydration industry by tapping into the resorts, retail, theme park and cruise ship location that currently serve artificial plastic packaged and processed items.

It all started one day when CocoVinny broke his dad’s expensive knife while trying to open a coconut.
